Northcote Fish and Chips.
I am going to review Northcote Fish and Chips on High st based on my visit there just recently. I’ll first touch on the customer service and then will move on to the quality of the food. I'll talk about how accessible the store is, the cleanliness of the store and my overall thoughts and advice to anyone considering paying a visit.
Northcote Fish and Chips is guaranteed to give you great customer service. The worker I was greeted by was really friendly and polite. They undoubtedly had great work ethic and did not clock in to waste anyone's time. By the time the food had finished being prepared they walked out from behind the counter to hand me my takeaway chips. It was really great and a good demonstration of how Northcote Fish and Chips care about how well they are serving their customers. To conclude their customer service I was very satisfied and I felt very welcome inside.
How up to standard is the quality of the food presented by Northcote Fish and Chips?
The food quality, I personally think, is very very good. My order was simple, I purchased ‘bag O’ chips’ the smallest portion of chips . The straight cut potato french fries were golden and crispy. The taste was immaculate and my mouth is just watering just thinking about them. If you're the type of person to ask for special instructions with your food, Northcote Fish and Chips is the right fit for you. The worker, I could tell, was very willing to take on board any requests I had in regards to my food. Even though I only asked for extra chicken salt they definitely listened and I got so much chicken salt, it was perfect. When it comes to the pricing of the menu they are as fair as possible and it's pretty hard to complain about. I paid $4.50 for my ‘bag O chips’ and was not disappointed with the size of the bag. They had no issue with preparing my food in a short period of time and still managing to make it taste fresh and delicious. To conclude the quality of the food in two words it's certainly reliable.
Is Northcote Fish and Chips accessible and in an easy access location?
Northcote Fish and Chips is situated in High st Northcote. Just a two minute stroll down from Separation street. Not far at all from Northcote Plaza, a common location where locals run their errands. High st is mostly flat, suitable for wheelchairs or anyone who doesn't really like hills. It has a tram running from Bundoora to the city west Docklands. Northcote Fish and Chips is really close to the last accessible tram stop. Northcote fish and chips does food delivery service. The first con to this lovely store is their open hours. Theyre open from 4pm until 9pm on weekdays except Tuesday because they are closed. On saturday they’re open from 12pm until 10pm and on sundays they're open from 12pm until 9pm. So if you want to get fish and chips for midday lunch on a weekday, you might have to look somewhere else. But otherwise Northcote fish and chips is easily accessible.
Is the cleanliness of Northcote Fish and Chips up to classic hygiene standards?
The cleanliness of the food is fine and I highly doubt you'll be finding any bugs in your food. But I do want to touch on the cleanliness of the store. Now personally I'm not too bothered by this, but the store isn't completely renovated and picture perfect. It is a little dirty and greasy here and there so if you're picky about that sort of thing this place might not be for you. Id say this store is definitely more designed for takeaway orders rather than eating in.
To conclude this review, considering the amazing quality of the food and service I would give 4 stars out of 5. This is a great fish and chip shop for locals to rely on and take away home whenever they are feeling too lazy to prepare dinner. I know I’ll be coming back again and I look forward to it. Next time you're in the mood for fish and chips id try out northcote fish and chips.
