A disappointing experience with the Frank Green Water Bottle

I was gifted the Frank Green water bottle on Christmas by my older sister. After hearing many great stories about it, I was eager to have a stylish and eco-friendly bottle  to stay hydrated on the go. However, my experience with this water bottle has left me with mixed emotions.

At a staggering $50-$90, this water bottle is without a doubt on the higher end of the spectrum when it comes to cost. The issues that I have encountered with the product has made me question whether the price of the bottle was not justified enough.

To begin, one of the great features about the water bottle is its sleek modern design. The spill resistant lid combined with the one handed push button mechanism makes it incredibly convenient for sipping on the go. The shape of the bottle fits comfortably in hand and cup holders. Additionally, the Frank Green water bottle’s commitment to sustainability is commendable. It is made form BPA-free materials and is fully recyclable at the end of its lifespan. This aligns well with the growing concern for reducing single use plastic waste.

One of the most visible issues with the Frank Green bottle is its vulnerability to dent and break. Within just a few weeks of regular use, I noticed dents and scratches that appeared out of nowhere. The bottles advertised durability and resilience seem to be nothing more than empty promises which left me concerned about future damage to the bottle. The material of the bottle seems insufficient to withstand the mishaps of daily use. I was disappointed to discover that a minor drop from my bench was enough to result in a crack in the bottle. For a product that is marketed for active lifestyles, this was shocking.

Additionally, the Frank Green water bottle’s sensitivity to mould growth is concerning. I found that mouldmould began to appear in the crevicesin crevices of the bottle and the straw. This raises hygiene issues and questions the overall quality of the bottle itself.

In conclusion, my experience with the Frank Green was a little disappointing. Although the design and concept of the bottle is commendable, the price point combined with its vulnerability to dents, breakage and mould growth makes it difficult to recommend this product to anyone seeking a reliable and durable reusable water bottle.
